Originally released in 2006, this package includes the quintet's complete Prestige Records output, recorded between 1956 and 1961: the albums Miles, Cookin', Relaxin', Workin', Steamin and the classic track "Round Midnight," which appears on Miles Davis and the Modern Jazz Giants. Joined by John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones on 32 classic tunes like "Stablemates," "There Is No Greater Love," "In Your Own Sweet Way," "Trane's Blues," "Ahmad's Blues," "Surrey with the Fringe on Top," "Well You Needn't," "Half Nelson," "I Could Write a Book," "Oleo," "My Funny Valentine," and more. The fourth disc consists of eight additional audio recordings from various TV and radio appearances, including several bonus tracks not among the 32 studio recordings: "Max Is Making Wax" (Tonight Starring Steve Allen), "Walkin'" (live at the Blue Note), "Bye Bye Blackbird" (live at the Caf Bohemia) and "Two Bass Hit" (live at the Caf Bohemia).
